Hurricane Harvey rocked the Texas coast, city of Houston, and surrounding areas over the weekend. Millions of people have been displaced and experienced incredible loss and widespread devastation. As you watch the videos on various news stations of people stranded in neighborhoods overtaken by rivers, or scroll through news articles and photos of the sheer destruction left in the wake of the category 4 hurricane, you may find yourself wondering, “What can I do?” Sometimes it feels helpless seeing all of this devastation and not being able to help, especially for a community like ours who, in the past several years, has experienced tremendous flooding as well. Below are some links that will provide you with ways to donate and serve those who are struggling to pick up the pieces after such a terrible natural disaster.
Our prayers are with the City of Houston, the Texas Gulf coast, and all the surrounding communities currently experiencing the devastating effects of this natural disaster.
