I watched this video in a high school FCA meeting and years later it still often pops into my head. It’s a powerful reminder of who we are and who God is. I think it stuck with me because it’s so easy to relate to.
I’ll leave my response short because I think he said it far better than I could
What if you stopped believing you’re worthless and remembered he called you priceless? What if you looked at everything you did as an outflow of who Jesus is in you?
Romans 6:4 says “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Jesus died to forgive us but He didn’t stop there. He rose so that we might be made new.
Sometimes our perception of God making something new is that He is repairing, instead of replacing. But Romans doesn’t say “He rose so that we might be fixed, patched up, and mended.” It says He rose to make us NEW. He didn’t come just to fix you and send you on your way, He came to give you new life, not marked by the past hurts, sins, and trials.
His work is amazing. After all, He is the greatest artist of all time. Don’t sell that short. Hold tight to the newness He’s offering and remember that He crafted you and when He was done He called you precious. Let your life be an outflow of His artistry and live it fully.
